Speaker 1: I got you, okay, don't even worry about it! By the end of this video, you're going to have three essential tips, modeling tips, for me to basically get you started on the right path.
Speaker 1: These tips are proven because I've taught this in my course with my Modelpreneurs, and its helped them, and now it's time for you to get that.
Speaker 1: So, lets begin. The first step is you need to do your research. You need to do as much research as you can, especially when you're starting out. You want to start out the right way. If you want to go with being a sign model, you need to try to find agencies and there's plenty of agencies out there.
Speaker 1: If you're not in a big city, you're in, lets say, like a small city, you can go ahead and submit online, but honestly I would say that it's best to go to the agency for open calls so that they can actually see you in person because that's the best way for you to get signed, and I honestly think that doing that is best because when you go and actually see the agency they actually see you in person and doing it online is a little harder.
Speaker 1: But if you are in a smaller city go ahead and do it online. Do as much research about the agencies because a lot of agencies are very interesting and they're very clear about what they are looking for, so you have to basically do your research and look at the type of models at they're signing. If you're a plus-size model make sure they accept plus-size models.
Speaker 1: If you are not trying to be signed at the moment and you're trying to put yourself out there first, you need to basically still do your research. Still try every once in a while to try get signed and try to put yourself out there. I'll talk more about how you can put yourself out there as a freelance model.
Speaker 1: Okay, the second step is basically go ahead and build your authority online. I swear social media has changed the game for models out here. So people are getting discovered online so go ahead and put yourself out there; build your social media presences and try to build your authority. Build your authority; build your followers, and take nice pictures. Don't wait on people all the time to take your pictures.
Speaker 1: Learn to do it yourself, that's what I teach in my Model to Modelpreneur course. So go ahead and put yourself out there. At first I wasn't really trying to get signed, so I was basically taking my own pictures, doing my own thing. And that way I got discovered by an agent or whatever and that's how I got signed.
Speaker 1: If you are a freelance model who don't wanna get signed yet: put yourself out there. Start taking your own pictures, doing your own shoots, and build your authority, build your connection, go out there, network, meet people, and basically just put yourself out there. Okay, don't wait on people, because people are not reliable, so you have to help yourself first before people can try to help you.

Speaker 1: The third tip and the most important tip in my opinion is to build your confidence. Yo, bro, confidence is everything. You need to build that as model. If you don't have confidence, girl, what are you doing. Let me tell you why it's important to build you confidence as a model. Because, once you have that confidence, nobody can tell you shit, okay. Nobody can tell you shit.
Speaker 1: If an agent thinks that you're not "good" enough or "pretty" enough or "this" enough, that's okay. It's fine, you think that: fine. I know what I'm capable of and I know that I got it. So maybe I'm not good for you, but I might be good for somebody else. That's one of the reasons.
Speaker 1: Once I was able to build that confidence, as a model, literally everything changed. Everything started going up. So you need to build that confidence every single day, okay?
Speaker 1: Honestly, you do not even need to have the confidence of freaking Naomi Campbell, okay? You just need to know that. You are different, and you bring something different to the table. Why? Because confidence literally will take you so far in the modeling industry.
